Demian Obregon, MD

Dr. Obregon had originally trained as a neuroscientist studying Autism Spectrum Disorder and neuroinflammatory conditions. He has broad training in Interventional, Child, Adolescent and Adult psychiatry since 2008. His experience includes inpatient, residential, outpatient and addiction psychiatry. He has a passion for innovative treatments including transcranial magnetic stimulation . He employs a comprehensive approach integrating psychiatry, psychology, medicine, genetics, exercise and nutrition with a focus, not just on health, but also on wellness and an optimized lifestyle.

Bridget Brown, ARNP

Bridget is an Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner. She obtained her Bachelor’s in Nursing and her Bachelor’s of Science in Health Promotion from the University of Oklahoma. Upon graduation, she worked as an ER nurse for over six years. She pursued her Master’s in Nursing from the University of South Alabama, and has been working in psychiatry, alongside Dr. Obregon ever since. Bridget has a passion for health and a heart for helping others. It is her joy and honor to support individuals on their journey toward better physical and mental health. When Bridget is not working, she spends her time with the people she loves most: her four beautiful children and husband of 12 years. She’s passionate about being outdoors, traveling, exercise, and attending church.

Edith Kavouklis, MSN, APRN, FNP-BC, MSCP

Edith Kavouklis is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner and Menopause Society Certified Practitioner (MSCP), passionate about women’s health, mental health, and lifestyle medicine. She began her healthcare career as a respiratory therapist before studying biology at the University of South Florida and earning a nursing degree from Excelsior College. Edith then completed her Master of Science in Nursing at Western Governors University.

Edith is dedicated to helping patients achieve optimal health through compassionate, evidence-based, and holistic care. She works with patients to address emotional, mental, and physical well-being so they can live their healthiest lives.

Eliza, Care Coordinator and TMS Technician

Eliza is a Patient Care Coordinator and TMS Technician at the Wellness Academy Psychiatry. She earned her Bachelor’s in Psychology at the University of Florida. She has experience working in various healthcare settings as a medical scribe/healthcare technician in the ER, Urgent Care, Orthopedics and Holistic private practice. Eliza is committed to ensuring the best support for the patients at The Wellness Academy Psychiatry and is pleased to be a part of a team that values compassion and overall wellness.

Cana, Care Coordinator and TMS Technician

Cana is a Patient Care Coordinator and TMS Technician at The Wellness Academy Psychiatry. She earned her Bachelor’s in Psychology at the University of South Florida in 2020 and is currently enrolled in the Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling program at NOVA Southeastern University. At USF, she worked for the university’s Title IX office as a victim advocate for students and a member of the investigative team. Cana is currently completing her student internship at an addiction treatment center located in South Tampa. Cana aims to earn her license in mental health counseling (LMHC) so she can help others find their inner strength and learn effective coping mechanisms to live happier, healthier lives.
