It’s a new year! For many, this is a time for new beginnings and a starting point for healthier habits. For others, the world is still spinning as it was before, and everyday life still comes with its challenges like in the weeks and months before.
Some of the most common resolutions that people make are to eat right, exercise more, and to quit unhealthy habits like smoking or drinking. These resolutions consist of our everyday thoughts, actions, and choices, altered to be more desirable in some way, and only made possible by the internal motivation to make change happen.
There are many factors that influence motivation like receiving rewards, avoiding guilt, and maintaining self image or public appearances. But what factors work against our motivation? Maybe the goals weren’t very realistic from the start, or there isn’t enough time to fit everything in, or maybe everything feels impossible because depression weighs down every task, adding an overwhelming pressure to every decision we make.
Maybe you’ve felt this clash between motivation and your mental health. The things you want feel further away, but closing that distance doesn’t seem worth the effort for some reason, if you can even find the energy. If it feels like you have to climb a mountain just to get out of bed in the morning, you may want a different kind of energy for 2025. But, how would there be time to tackle this AND keep your resolutions for this year?
What if there was a way to start feeling better fast?
We have developed an accelerated program at TWA Psychiatry that can be completed in three weeks. During this time, patients will receive 24 sessions of Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) therapy. We have designed a program that maximizes therapeutic benefits in a short amount of time so people don’t lose more months and weeks to their mental health struggles.
We recognize that the first step to self-improvement is believing that it’s possible. For people who suffer from treatment-resistant depression (TRD), it’s very possible that they have tried multiple avenues to relieve their symptoms to no avail. Heartbreak like that takes time and practice. With this in mind, our program is intended for people who need a fast, intensive course of treatments that when combined, are scientifically proven to get 90% of patients feeling better (https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC11327889/).
While in this program, you will be cared for by a team that are committed to excellence and are constantly inspired by the successes of their patients. We will work with you to make sure that you feel empowered to make the changes you once thought were impossible.
Keep the momentum of this program going and make the changes you want to see this year.
